The Concept of IELTS certificatesIELTS is an abbreviation of International English Language Testing System, one of the tests evaluates learners’ ability in using English via 4 skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing. IELTS is used  as a standard for approving admission of students from other countries to study in England, Australia and New Zealand.

There is no concept of pass and fail in IELTS. The results of IELTS are the average of the 4 skills, evaluated according to the scale from 1 to 9. Normally, with the results from 6-6.5, students can be admitted to study in universities in English-spoken countries. For studying postgraduate programs, students have to get the results from 7 to 7.5.
